Meet the new Synopsis

This is the biggest redesign Synopsis has had since we started.

The app had grown one feature at a time over the years, and it was starting to feel like it. So we went back to the beginning and rebuilt the way you move through it. The aim was something calmer to look at and quicker to find your way around, especially on the days when you're between sessions and short on patience.

A sidebar that keeps everything in reach

Your main tools now live in a sidebar down the left: patients, calendar, your practice settings, your account. It's always there, it tucks out of the way when you want the room, and you're never more than a click from where you're going.

Jump anywhere by typing

Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) and a search box appears in the middle of the screen. Start typing a patient's name to go straight to them, or the name of a page to open it. No hunting through menus. It's the kind of shortcut you stop noticing because you reach for it so often.

A calmer look throughout

We've softened the colours, cleaned up the type, and given everything more room to breathe, so the app feels less busy and easier on the eyes through a long day. Everything is still where you expect it to be.

A gentler start for new accounts

If you're new to Synopsis, signing up now walks you through setting up your practice one step at a time. It also drops in a demo patient: a made-up person with sample sessions, notes and files already in place, so you can click around and try everything without touching a real record. Delete them whenever you're ready.

The patient profile is where this new layout makes the biggest difference.
